I used the crockpot for this and I added sauce to it. I also added a bit of garlic powder. The pesto gives these a kick for sure. Brown them before. Using pesto with Thai Basil in it is strong, so I only used 1/4 c. for 1 lb. of ground turkey. I could taste the fragrant herb, but I think I could have even got away with more of it in there. This is a good recipe to play around with. I will be using some of the leftover meatballs for pizza.
